Roadmap for writing in 2021

It's kinda late, but I was completely consumed by The Book of Longings and that took up my whole day. I was resentful when I had to cook dinner and do the dishes! I'll post my review of it tomorrow.

For tonight, this is just a quickie update on where things are at book wise.

I'm hoping my editor will be back in full swing this week after the holidays. Assuming things stick to plans, I think I should be ready to go by the end of next month which means The Curious Case of Prince Charming will once again be available in both Kindle and Print.

As soon as possible, I will hire my editor to look over Glass Slipper Conspiracy and Blood Moon Rising; hopefully a little swifter.

The reason for the delay is because initially I had asked her to do the first 10k words or so as quickly as possible so I could submit to Heroic Publishing. They take up to three months after the submission to get back to you, so she she figured she had about three months from about the middle of December. However, I had decided to self-publish in the meantime. I'm not going to rush her though - she has other jobs and that wasn't our agreement. So a tad more patience.

Once book 2 and 3 are out, I'm simply going to publish Book 4 as it's been looked at very recently and I'm sure it's fine.

The plan for 2021 therefore is to republish books 1-3 and publish book 4. I'm also hoping to pitch a totally different book to Heroic Publishing sometime late this year and we'll see how that goes. While self-publishing doesn't bother me in the slightest, it would be nice to be traditionally published again and that book is a stand-alone.

So that's the plan for this year. And of course, I'll keep working on writing in general!

See you tomorrow for my review of The Book of Longings. In short: it was wonderful!
